Murdered Father Remembered by Family
NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- North Las Vegas has not had a murder since July, and then in one 24-hour period over the weekend, three people were killed in three separate incidents.
A gunman looking for cash shot a man who was fixing a car in front of a North Las Vegas home. Now a family is making a plea to the community to help catch the killer of the father of two teenaged sons.
Two men were fixing a car -- one of them was mechanic 44-year-old Darren Rael, hired through Craigslist. He was shot and killed and another man was nearly killed, except the shooter's gun jammed.
"Think of how you would feel if you had to watch on TV that your brother, your son, your dad, your nephew, anybody wasn't coming home. That you're never going to see them walk through the door, never get a phone call. Think of how you would feel if it affected your family. Do the right thing if you know anything," said Rael's sister Nicole Sena.
