Calls for North Las Vegas Airport Restrictions Grow | News

Two members of the Nevada Legislature have joined the Clark County Commission in calling for a ban on experimental or home built aircraft at the North Las Vegas Airport.
Senate Majority Leader Steven Horsford and Assemblywoman Marilyn Kirkpatrick say a deadly crash that killed three people last year highlights the safety concerns. They want the legislature to pass a resolution urging Congress to give the FAA the power to ban experimental planes.
The Clark County Director of Aviation wants to move the planes to a less populated area like the airport in Jean, but the FAA is resisting those efforts.
