Parents Left in Jam When Daycare Closes

The foreclosure crisis in Nevada isn't only affecting homeowners, it's also impacting businesses as one group of parents found out Monday when they learned their daycare was closing.

Parents were upset that they were not told earlier that the Kids R Kids on North Jones would no longer be in operation. The business opened about two years ago.

Although the owners claimed they had notified parents, parents say they had no idea there was a problem. Teachers at the daycare were also unaware the business was being foreclosed.

The north Jones location in independently operated and owned. There are five other Kids R Kids around the valley.

Parents had to wait for hours until they could access the building to pick up their children's belongings. It's unclear for those who have prepaid their children's enrollment fees whether they will get their money refunded. The franchise headquarters is in Georgia did not have a comment.
