UPDATE: Suspicious package turns out to be cell phone

A suspicious package that was delivered to the National Nuclear Security Administration North Las Vegas facilities turned out to be nothing more than a cell phone, according to North Las Vegas Police.

The package was from a known Department of Energy vendor but the recipient was expecting a delivery and the package was vibrating so police were notified.

The incident did cause employees to be kept indoors for a period of time.

When the package was opened, officers found a cell phone that had been left turned on, police said.

The scene is being cleared since the package does not present any danger.
