North Las Vegas Police search for 2-year-old; girl's been missing since late August

North Las Vegas Police detectives are asking for the public's help in locating a juvenile that went missing in late August.

Police said on Saturday, Aug. 25, officers were dispatched to a home in the 4600 block of Mission Cantina Avenue near N. 5th Street and E. Lone Mountain Road in reference to a report of a missing 2-year-old juvenile.

The preliminary investigation showed 2-year-old Zalea Walker was last seen with her parents, 27-year-old Lakeia Walker and 27-year-old Ricky Beasley in North Las Vegas.

Detectives entered the parents and the child's name into the missing persons' national database in an attempt to locate the family. After several months, detectives received word that the parents were located.

On Saturday, Nov. 17, Texas Department of Public Safety Officers came into contact with Lakeia and Ricky, who did not have custody of Zalea. Both claimed to not have any knowledge of Zalea's whereabouts and became uncooperative.

Detectives are seeking any information on the whereabouts of Zalea and are hopeful Zalea was left with an unknown associate of Lakeia and Ricky in the Las Vegas Valley.

Anyone with information in this case is asked to contact the North Las Vegas Police Department immediately at 702-633-9111.
