Free Museum Entrance Offered Saturday | Arts & Culture
Thousands of museums around the country will be offering free entrance through the Smithsonian Magazine's free museum day Saturday.
People interested in seeing the country's history for free can go to smithsonianmag.com/museumdaylive and download a free ticket to any museum participating in the program.
Several museums around Nevada are part of the program, including Boulder City Hoover Dam Museum and the College of Southern Nevada Planetarium.
The Boulder City Hoover Dam Museum, 1305 Arizona Street, uses three-dimensional, interactive displays and exhibits to tell the story of the Boulder Canyon Project and the building of the Hoover Dam.
The museum will accept a ticket on your smart phone.
The College of Southern Nevada Planetarium, 3200 East Cheyenne Avenue, offers several screenings of fun and educational films about the stars and planets. There is also telescope observing at 9 p.m., weather permitting.
