Police from around southern Nevada are trading in their handcuffs for menus to benefit the Special Olympics Nevada

Officers from several different agencies will be serving as waiters at Famous Dave’s BBQ restaurants Friday. The money raised during the event will benefit the athletes in the Special Olympics. The Tip A Cop service is from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Then again from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Here is a list of which agencies will be working at which restaurants:

  • 9695 W. Flamingo, Las Vegas (Dinner Only) Clark County School Police
  • 1951 N. Rainbow, Las Vegas Nevada DPS Highway Patrol
  • 651 Mall Ring Road, Henderson Lunch: Henderson Marshals Dinner: Henderson Police Dept.
  • 4390 Blue Diamond Road, Las Vegas Lunch: Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept. Dinner: Hoover Dam Police and Metro Police Dispatch
  • 2630 E. Craig Road, North Las Vegas Lunch: Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Dept. and North Las Vegas Marshals Dinner: Metro Police and North Las Vegas Marshals
