The Summerlin Rotary Club honored three North Las Vegas Police Department officers during a ceremony Monday morning.

Officer Mario Olsson was recognized for making a phone call that saved the life of someone who had been shot.

Sergeant Darrell Semper was recognized for pulling a wheel-chair bound man from a burning home.

Officer Dwight Kuykendall was recognized for his courageous acts during a call involving a shooting.

"The more people are recognized for the jobs, the great jobs they are doing, I think, the more they are going to feel great about the communities they serve and contribute even more." Joe Germain with the Summerlin Rotary Club said.

The club honored other firefighters and medical professionals for their service during Monday's ceremony.
