Police Focusing on Intersections This Week | Crime

Another round of heavy enforcement for intersection safety takes place this week in southern Nevada.

A report released this week by the Alliance for Biking and Walking rated Las Vegas 32nd out of 51 major cities for safety.

Local jurisdictions have “safety events” planned throughout the valley this week, including the following:

Tuesday

• At major intersections near Charleston and Lamb from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Wednesday

• At major intersections near Maryland Parkway and Desert Inn from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Thursday

• At major intersections near Tropicana and Paradise 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Friday

• At major intersections near Serene and Eastern from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m.
• At major intersections near Cheyenne and Losee from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m.

Agencies participating include Henderson Police Department, Nevada Highway Patrol, Metro Police, Boulder City Police Department
