Canyon Springs High School Part of Law Day Live

Students from Canyon Springs High School will play a key role in this year's Law Day Live set for Thursday.

The students will act as attorneys and judges during mock Supreme Court arguments in three real-life cases.

The mock arguments will actually be made at the high court's courtroom in Las Vegas, but will be webcast to three locations around the state.

At the first location, students will argue to overturn a lower courts decision. At the second location, students will argue to uphold the decision, and at the final location, students, justices and judges will deliberate and render a decision.

Canyon Springs High School is a law-related magnet school and is one of the originators of Law Day Live. It gives students a better understanding of the judicial system and the types of arguments made before the State Supreme Court.
