Two Accident Victims Identified | News

LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County Coroner's Office identified Wednesday morning the victims of two recent traffic accidents in Las Vegas.
Paul Windle, 66, has been identified as the pedestrian killed in a hit-and-run incident early Monday morning at Las Vegas Boulevard and Harmon Avenue. Windle was walking outside a marked crosswalk when he was struck by a pickup truck that left the scene. He died of multiple blunt force injuries. A truck believed to be the one from the incident later was found in the Cosmopolitan parking garage.
Alberto Paredes, 18, died later Monday morning when he crashed a stolen 1997 Saturn into a traffic light control box near Lake Mead Boulevard and Tonopah Drive. Paredes died of blunt force trauma to the head. A passenger in the car was transported to University Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Both incidents remain under investigation by Metro Police.
