LAS VEGAS -- Metro Police have found the mother of the infant whose body was found discarded in a apartment trash bin Wednesday.
The baby's body was found by a maintenance person at an apartment complex in the 2800 block of N. Rancho Drive, between Cheyenne Avenue and Smoke Ranch Road.
The baby was identified as a girl. According to police, the baby's mother is a teen and hid her pregnancy from her family and friends. She gave birth to the baby at home.
Dead Baby Body Found in Apartment Trash Bin
Police said they believe the child was born a month ago, but it's unclear if it was a live birth or the girl was stillborn.
Police added that the teen might have hid the baby's body inside her home before discarding it in the trash bin.
The investigation is ongoing, but no arrests have been made in the case.
