Beltway Work Results in New Alignment

Beltway Work Results in New Alignment

Ongoing improvements to the northern part of the 215 Beltway will result in a major traffic shift late Thursday evening.

Traffic lane shifts and new traffic signals will be turned on at the intersection with Decatur Boulevard. Decatur traffic will be shifted from the temporary lanes currently in use just north of that intersection to a new section of road on the new bridge. The new traffic signals will control traffic for this new road alignment.

The lane shift and traffic signal activation will impact traffic between 9 p.m. Thursday, March 14, and 6 a.m. Friday, March 15.

Also during this time, westbound traffic on the 215 will be shifted to new lanes from around the Aviary Way Bridge to the Decatur intersection. Eastbound Beltway travel lanes will stay the same as they are now.
