Hundreds of Drivers Caught in Pedestrian Enforcement

North Las Vegas Police handed out dozens of citations to drivers and pedestrians during an enforcement of rules of the road. The department targeted drivers who were speeding or who didn't yield to pedestrians.

The "Joining Forces" enforcement took place on April 29 at major streets around the city. Today they released the results. In all 79 speeding violations were handed out along with violations for drivers licenses, insurance and registration. Two people were cited for failing to stop at a stop light and 93 people were given verbal warnings.

The enforcement was made possible by a grant from the Nevada Office of Traffic Safety.
