2 More Officer Murder Suspects Appear in Court

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nv -- Two more suspects in the murder of police officer Trevor Nettleton made their first court appearances Tuesday.

Murder suspect Quadrae Scott appeared in court via video conference this morning. He is charged with murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. He is not eligible for bail. Suspect Emmitt Ferguson who is charged with accessory to murder did get bail set at $500,000. Police say Ferguson was not with the group at the time of the murder but he helped hide the gun.

A total of five suspects have been arrested in the murder of police officer Nettleton. He was shot to death in the garage of his home on Nov. 19th. Police say the five suspects were attempting to rob Nettleton. The officer died of a gunshot wound to his torso.

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nv -- Three of the five suspects in the murder of Metro Officer Trevor Nettleton appeared in court via video conference Monday.

Eighteen-year-old Prentice Marshall and 20-year-old Saul Williams were both charged with first degree murder with a deadly weapon, attempted robbery with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.

The youngest suspect arrested, 17-year-old Adrian Pena, also made an appearance. Pena has been certified as an adult and is charged with first degree murder with a deadly weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery.

Vigil Held for Fallen Officers

LAS VEGAS -- Murdered Las Vegas police officer Trevor Nettleton was stationed at the Bolden Area Command. Monday night, under an American flag flying at half staff, crowds gathered there to remember Metro's fallen and to denounce the bloodshed.

Men and women who wear the badge stood side by side.

“This is an officer in a different color uniform. That doesn't matter. When things like this happen, we all come together,” said North Las Vegas Police Department Deputy Chief Victor Dunn.

Faith-based organizations also came together in a touching tribute to Officer Nettleton, ambushed Thursday in a botched robbery, and Corrections Officer Daniel Leach, killed in vehicle accident on Saturday.

“We hurt for him and his family and that's why we're here -- to support his family,” said Laurie Jimenez, member of the Living Faith Assembly.

2 More Suspects Charged in the Murder of a Metro Officer

LAS VEGAS, Nv -- Two more suspects have been charged in connection with the murder of Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Officer Trevor Nettleton.

North Las Vegas Police booked 18-year-old Quadrae Scott and 18-year-old Emmitt Ferguson into the North Las Vegas Detention Center Sunday night on charges related to the murder of Officer Nettleton early Thursday morning.

Scott has been charged with one count each of Murder with a Deadly Weapon with a Gang Enhancement, Attempted Robbery with a Deadly Weapon with a Gang Enhancement and Conspiracy to Commit Robbery.

Ferguson has been charged with one count of Accessory to Murder after the Fact.

Also Detectives believe they may have recovered the weapon that was used to fatally wound Officer Nettleton but are awaiting confirmation from ballistics testing.

Woman Missing for Over a Week

North Las Vegas Police have issued an alert for a woman they believe is in danger. She left her home one week ago and is still missing.

The woman left a note at her house saying she was going to bible study. She did not return.

Fifty-six-year-old Patricia Ann Prather lives with her older brother in this apartment near Las Vegas Boulevard and Carey. Last Wednesday, her brother, Rupert Harris, gave Patricia her medication, fed her breakfast, and came home to find a note. “I am gone out for today to pray meeting. Will return. Have a nice day,” it said.

Photos Released of Murder Suspects in Police Killing

LAS VEGAS, Nv. -- The youngest suspect in the murder of a Metro police officer will be charged as an adult.

North Las Vegas police say the 17-year-old has been transferred to the North Las Vegas Detention Center where the two other suspects are being held. 

One of those suspects, 18-year-old Prentice Marshall, was released from the hospital on Friday. He had suffered a gunshot wound in an exchange of gunfire with Metro Officer Trevor Nettleton. Marshall, 20-year-old Saul Williams, and the 17-year-old are facing murder and robbery charges. Police have also added gang enhancement charges. Police say all three have documented gang activity in their past.

"This investigation is still ongoing, but as it stands right now, we still believe these individuals targeted Officer Nettleton in an attempted robbery and that this was just a random act of violence," said Officer Chrissy Coon, North Las Vegas Police.

Off-Duty Las Vegas Metro Police Officer Murdered

NORTH LAS VEGAS, Nv. -- An off-duty Las Vegas Metro police officer was shot to death in an attempted robbery early Thursday morning. North Las Vegas Police are handling the investigation into the crime.

Investigators say 30-year-old Trevor Nettleton was shot to death after midnight and the crime appears to be random.

Officer Nettleton had been on the force for three years and had just returned home from working the swing shift when he was killed. He was working in his garage at the time of the shooting and his wife and two children were inside the home when he was shot.

At a news conference held Thursday afternoon, Sheriff Doug Gillespie expressed his feelings about the murder of one of his officers. "I just lost another member of my organization tragically. I'm doing as good as you are going to be under those circumstances," he said.
