Motorcyclist dies after crash near Sahara, Hualapai

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) -- A motorcyclist died following a crash near Sahara and Hualapai in the southwest valley Tuesday. The incident occurred around 4:54 p.m.

According to Metro, the investigation indicates a Harley Davidson motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Sahara east of Hualapai at a high rate of speed. The bike collided with a Toyota Corolla making a left turn from westbound Sahara at Sahara Center Drive.

The motorcyclist was thrown into the eastbound travel lanes of the intersection. He was transported to UMC Trauma, where he later died.

The driver of the Toyota remained on scene, and police say she did not show any signs of impairment.

Eastbound Sahara at the intersection has reopened.
